Hello everyone and welcome to my Blog!

My name is Rob McDonald and I am here to help you start your own Blog or Website. I want to teach you how to build your site so that it is truly unique and awesome, just like you. Then I want to show you how to use SEO, Social Media Marketing and Branding, to make your site successful.

I write about all of these things on my blog. So check back often to see what useful tips I add. I am sure you will find something that could help you along the way.

A Little About Me

I am the owner of Robs Web Design. I started this site to help people build their own Blog or Website. Starting a blog can be a daunting task if you don’t know where to start. Building a business website can be even more challenging without any guidance.

In addition to being a Web Developer, I am also an Accountant, and received my degree from the University of Memphis in 1999. So I do know a little bit about the financial world as well.

I have been designing websites as a hobby, off and on, since 2007. I decided in 2013, to turn it into a business.

I would say that Web Developing is my passion, and Accounting is my career. I also have a background in Journalism, so writing was once, and still is, a passion of mine.

I was not a techie type when I began, so it was really hard for me to make my way through all of the web jargon and understand how to use HTML or CSS code to be able to make and build a design that was unique and truly my own.

I have since that time, became an avid advocate of the WordPress platform. I truly believe that it is the best and easiest platform to use, whether it be for a personal Blog, or a full featured Business Website. All of the websites that I build are developed using WordPress.

All of the information needed to get you started is on this site. When I first started, I went through a lot of trial and error on what tools I needed to build websites.

I tried a lot of different ones until I settled on the ones I use now. This became my ToolBox for building websites.
