This small logo looking image sets to the left of your site name on the tab of your browser. What do you say? You don’t have one? Well this article explains why you need one and how to easily install one.
What is a Favicon?
A favicon (or favorite icon), also know as a shortcut icon, is an image file containing a small icon associated with a particular website. See the example below of how you might see favicon on a website:
Most of these are just the logo of the site downsized to meet the dimensions required for the favicon. Some look better than others, but the goal here is to get your site to stand out when the user has multiple tabs open.
